Spirits Within... roleplay?

Does anyone know of any Spirits Within roleplays on the great wide internet?

I know there's a Aki Ross on Tumblr... but that's about it. Anybody else out there playing around or interested in doing so?

There were a few play-by-post games, back when the movie was first released. I tried to revive one a while back, but there wasn't much interest at the time. I don't know of any up and running at the moment.

Someone also picked up Hein in a Pan-Final Fantasy Chat-Based RPG. Likewise, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few single TSW characters in any of those multi-fandom setting things.

I played Hein on the same FFTumblr Aki Ross listed above was a part of, but the mods really hated how I portrayed him. I was "too OOC" and "too mature" and "too intense for casual RP". So... I left. They didn't allow for RP with anyone outside their FF Masterlist, and that bugged me too. It left a bad taste in my mouth towards joining any multi-level FF RPs :/

I'm the Aki Ross in question and yeah - that masterlist fell through due to, guess what, disagreements with one of the mods (I'd left before then, however). I'm still around, though at a different URL (bioetheric) - if anyone wants to seek me out, they're more than welcome to.

I totally understand. I can highly imagine which mod it is - I personally never fell out with her but eventually the group sort of staged a mutiny, haha.

It might be a while til I have the time (first week back to college, eugh), but I'd definitely love to RP with you again! It was a lot of fun. My characterization of Hein is uh, really intense, so I'm glad you enjoyed RPing with me! I was worried when I kept getting messages about him being 'too mature' that I was offending everyone everywhere D: (he almost shot himself at one point in the movie so ????? too mature what)

That was probably the mod being an asshat - I never saw anyone else caught up for that and if they were, they were asked to put it under a cut (seriously, I don't remember anything you did being particularly adult, apart from your descriptions of him treating himself - I remember thinking that this would eventually get a little more adult and gruesome, but that was it).

I don't think you were offending anyone other than the mod. I've told a couple of people that I found you (I got way too excited) and they were all really positive about it - and I only ever heard good things about the way you played him.

And it's fine, take your time if you really do want to rp. I'm going to be without internet for a week starting on Sunday and then I'll be settling into my accommodation for next year and things, so I'm busy too.

I was thinking about creating a Twitter account for roleplay... ended up trying to figure out if Aki would have an Android or an iPhone.

i've never heard of twitter roleplay, but i'm pretty oldschool (forumboards!). it sounds difficult to do!

Not really, all you need is an email account so you can sign in. Having a smartphone would be a plus so you can update anywhere.
